Lance enjoys positive pre-season test ahead of 2024 Bahrain F1 opener

Pre-season testing proved insightful for Lance Stroll and the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team

Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team driver, Lance Stroll, enjoyed a positive pre-season testing programme in Bahrain as the 2024 F1 season edges closer to its start on March 2.

Lance completed his first laps behind the wheel of the AMR24 at the Bahrain International Circuit on Wednesday afternoon, completing vital systems checks and validating aerodynamic performance on his way to the 12th-fastest time of the day.

By turning a total of 54 laps, Lance captured an extensive amount of data and continued to build upon his knowledge and understanding of the package on Thursday, splitting running over the course of the day with team-mate, Fernando Alonso.

The Canadian registered a further 96 laps on Day Two and improved his personal best time at the Sakhir-based venue by almost one second to place seventh in Thursday’s timings.

On the final morning, Lance started to target performance running and showed encouraging pace to produce the fourth-fastest time of the session while showing clear progression and improvement as the test evolved.

The first race of the 2024 F1 season, the Bahrain Grand Prix, will take place on March 2 where Lance and his Aston Martin team will return to action.
