Lance withdraws from the Spanish Grand Prix

Lance’s weekend in Barcelona comes to an early end

Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team driver, Lance Stroll, concluded the Monaco Grand Prix in P15 where he'd previously placed P14 in 2024.

Gathering data

The weekend’s practice sessions allowed Lance and the team to run the AMR25 with the new wing after a new Technical Directive was introduced by the FIA.

Lance got some good running across all three compounds of tyres on short and long runs during the three practice sessions. He gathered valuable data that could help the team across the weekend.

A Q2 appearance

Lance and the team opted to go for three flying laps across Q1, pitting after each for a new set of Soft compound tyres.

He continued to improve his time throughout the session, and after crossing the line just before the chequered flag, Lance was able to get his third and final flying lap underway.

He further improved his lap time and ended Q1 in P7.

Progressing into Q2, Lance initially went P3 after his first flying lap before heading back into the pits.

He returned to the track with three minutes of the segment remaining. He was unable to improve on his position, securing P14 for the Grand Prix.
