Lance Stroll finished P6 at Silverstone in the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix for BWT Racing Point Formula One Team

After qualifying P6 on the grid for the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix, Lance ran a 2-stop strategy - starting on the Medium compound Pirelli tyres before pitting twice for the Hard compound tyres to complete the race.
Lance finished just ahead of stand-in teammate Nico Hulkenberg, as the team scored a valuable 14-points to their constructors championship total.

Lance now sits P7 overall in the Driver's Championship on 28 points, whilst BWT Racing Point Formula One Team are currently P5 in the Constructors standings on 41 points.

Lance: “I had a good start to the race and made up some places off the line, which put both of our cars into a great position early in the race.
It was fun to have a battle with Nico and I managed to get him around the outside of Turn 6, but I locked up a little bit, and he was able to get by again.
We then settled into P4 and P5, but it was clear that Leclerc was able to make a one-stop strategy work and the Red Bulls were very quick today.

We’ve banked some good points with a solid strategy. We always want more, though, so we’ll go away and look into all the different strategies used today and learn from it.
Nico did another good job, and it’s a strong result for the team.”

Lance will be back in Formula One action in just one-weeks time for the Spanish Grand Prix, at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona.
